Local Lakes

Esau – public access with a nice drop off to 15 ft. and depths of 20 to 25 ft.  A small fishing boat is on the bottom. 
Avalon
– public access with a great shallow area and a good drop off  to 25 ft. Good vis with fish  and depths to 30+ft.
Clear Lake
– public access (park sticker) and picnic area, great shallow area, fish shelters, and depths to 40+ ft.

Lake Huron Shore Dives

Rockport Harbor – abandoned deep water harbor now a DNR public launch and picnic area. Offers fish, dock ruins, and 25 ft. depth.
Presque Isle Point
– has three public access areas and two have wreckage.
Thompson’s Harbor
– was a logging harbor in the early 1900s and the wreck of the American Union is there. (zodiak req.)
Forty Mile Point Lighthouse
– a lighthouse museum, picnic area, beach and the wreck of the Joseph S. Faye in 17 –20 ft. of water.
D. N. Barney and Docks
 -wreckage and old docks just offshore – public access.
John Jewett
– wreckage just offshore a point Ύ of a mile south of the Hammond Bay Refuge Harbor.
