The ANNA SMITH was a wood propeller built in 1873 in Algonac MI, by James Navah.  She was 178 ft. long and her official # 105276.  She sprang a leek and they grounded her on Cordwood Point on November 27, 1889.  In an effort to keep warm the crew caught the cargo of coal on fire and the ship burned.  This is a shore dive and the boilers and many artifacts are on the site.  Getting to the site by land requires permission from private property owners.
